The Legal Defense Fund and Lambda Legal filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on behalf of nonprofit organizations, including the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA), challenging three executive orders from President Donald Trump related to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and transgender people.
The complaint argued the executive orders “frustrate NFHA’s mission to eliminate all forms of housing and lending discrimination by censoring NFHA’s speech or withholding critical federal funds, and by making it more difficult for NFHA to serve individuals against whom the executive orders discriminate.”
