Brian Carter, speaker and owner of Optymedia, will be a featured speaker at the National Settlement Services Summit (NS3) June 16-18 at the Westin Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. Carter will present, “AI in Housing and Leadership: Clear Steps, Real Impact.”
“I hope to deliver leadership and real artificial intelligence (AI) solutions as my main message,” Carter said. “With a technology like AI, right now it’s clear that it’s here, it’s growing, and your ability to adopt it quickly is a decisive factor for thriving and surviving in these constantly changing and challenging times.”
Carter acknowledged it can be messy dealing with new and evolving technology, but AI has the potential to increase everyone’s capabilities, not to mention the power to change the very fabric of one’s life.
“While AI may seem weird or new, it’s also fascinating and empowering. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it,” he added.
Drawing from his extensive experience as an AI expert and business leader who teaches other leaders, Carter will deliver a practical framework NS3 attendees can implement immediately to identify genuine AI opportunities, address ethical concerns and power their organizations with intelligent automation.
Audience members will also enjoy and benefit from hilarious, engaging stories and real-world examples that demonstrate how to find the critical balance between innovation and responsibility when integrating AI.
Key takeaways from the presentation will include:
- A strategic assessment framework to identify high-impact AI applications specific to housing;
- Practical approaches to evaluate and mitigate ethical risks before they become problems;
- Essential strategies for building an AI-ready culture that embraces intelligent automation;
- Effective methods to reskill staff and preserve institutional knowledge during automation; and
- Proven frameworks for optimizing the human-AI partnership in housing operations.
The session will include a fireside chat and audience Q&A, featuring Carter and Cartree Pettis, director of product implementation at Ardán.
