A new study explores the problem of “credit invisibility” among households assisted by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The joint, first-of-its-kind study by HUD and the Policy and Economic Research Council (PERC) found that if the rent payments of HUD-assisted families are reported to credit reporting agencies, many of these households would cease being “credit invisible.”
