Lady luck will make a special appearance at RESPRO’s 2022 spring conference in Las Vegas.
The three-day event – which kicks off the evening of March 30 with a welcome reception – will highlight female leadership in the opening session, and why such a presence is imperative to the closing and title industry.
“Why Women 'Work' - in Leadership and in Business” features four experts in their field discussing why women are leaving the workforce in droves – and why the financial services professions should be concerned.
Fidelity National Financial Executive Vice President Erika Meinhardt, SoftPro Director of Regulatory Compliance Leslie Wyatt, Old Republic Title Vice President of Business Development Barbara Griest and Wintrust Mortgage Western Regional Manager Lynette Hale-Lee will explain how you can attract and retain female leaders and staff.
Also on March 31, Mayer Brown, LLP partners Holly Spencer Bunting and David Tallman will team up for the session, “Technology and Compliance with RESPA Affiliated Business Requirements.” They will explore how to navigate compliance when using technology to deliver consumer financial products and services.
Later that day, Katten & Temple, LLP Of Counsel Brian Levy and Franzen & Salzano President Loretta Salzano will offer their advice on marketing services agreements, joint ventures, sponsored events, gifts and other areas of concern in the session, “RESPA for a Purchase Money Market,” which will provide timely insight in that the market has shifted to being primarily purchase-based.
Additionally, two other afternoon sessions will pertain to the increasing focus on fair housing, fair lending and fair servicing issues.
First, Ballard Spahr, LLP Practice Group Leader Richard Andreano and ACES Quality Management Executive Vice President of Compliance Amanda Phillips will discuss the Department of Justice’s and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s efforts to combat redlining in the session, “Fair Housing, Fair Lending and Fair Servicing, Oh My.”
Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr Partner Francis X. “Trip” Riley III, Sterbcow Law Group Partner Marx Sterbcow and Chuck Cain, senior vice president, national agency division, FNF Family of Companies, will delve into how lender affiliated businesses can avoid expensive and reputational issues in the session, “Lender ABAs as Easy Targets for Fair Housing and Fair Lending Regulators and Plaintiffs.”
In the closing general session, four title industry professionals – Bowe Digital Owner Wayne Stanley, Mother Lode Holding Co. Chief Operating Officer Lisa Steele, Westcor Communications Director Susan Green and Title Alliance Chief Strategy Officer Lindsay Smith – will break down the do’s and don’ts on how affiliated businesses can determine their own unique story for their marketing strategies.
