Perez, a Cuban-American entrepreneur, takes the helm at a time when Hispanics have become the leading source of homeownership growth in America.
“The real estate market is evolving more rapidly than ever. I cannot remember a time when there were more challenges and opportunities in the market,” 2021 NAHREP President Sara Rodriguez said in a release. “Eddy Perez is one of the most talented and respected professionals in our industry. We are fortunate to have a leader of his caliber in this critically important position.”
Perez oversees sales, capital markets, diversity and inclusion, marketing, finance and new business at the Atlanta-based company. As co-founder of EPM, recognized as part of the Inc. 5000, he has been named one of the nation’s top mortgage bankers, recognized in National Mortgage Professionals Magazine’s “40 Most Influential Mortgage Professionals under 40.”
He will serve with co-chair David Acosta, the immediate past president of the National Board of Directors.
The CBOG is comprised of executives from NAHREP’s corporate partners, major trade associations and civil rights organizations. The corporate board provides industry and practitioner insights on the Hispanic real estate market, analyzes business opportunities for NAHREP’s corporate partners and advises the organization on housing policy.
