The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has entered a settlement with a non-bank, Illinois-based debt collector to address violations involving providing information to consumer reporting agencies (CRAs).
The CFPB said the company furnished information to CRAs it knew or had reasonable cause to believe was inaccurate and failed to report to CRAs an appropriate date of first delinquency on certain accounts.
