A federal judge in Seattle has dismissed a lawsuit that accused Capital One of improperly reporting a Washington couple was in default of their loan.
Homeowners Roman and Lyubov Brutsky sued the company in March 2017 for alleged violations of RESPA. The Washington court was tasked with determining whether the couple pled actual damages stemming from a failure to comply with a qualified written request.
