A Boston-area property management company and its owner agreed to pay restitution and implement no smoking policies in its Roxbury and Dorchester affordable housing units, according to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
The agreement will settle allegations that the management company and its owner unlawfully denied a tenant and their young disabled child the reasonable accommodations necessary to address secondhand smoke and a rodent infestation.
