Solicitor General Noel Francisco has announced he will resign from the Department of Justice (DOJ) effective July 3.
Francisco argued for the DOJ on March 3 to defend a civil investigative demand issued to a California law firm in Seila Law v. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a case that could determine the bureau’s constitutionality.
