The National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU) wants the House Financial Services Committee to explore alternative ways to capture creditworthy borrowers to improve the nation’s credit reporting system.
Carrie Hunt, NAFCU’s executive vice president of government affairs and general counsel, recently wrote to the committee’s leadership, stressing the need to address data security within the system in light of the 2017 Equifax data breach.
