The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), with support from Freddie Mac, unveiled its 13th annual Top 250 Latino Agents Report, highlighting the nation’s elite Latinx real estate agents.
The report ranks the achievements of Latinx real estate professionals in individual and team categories, including regional and national rankings. The report revealed 61.8 percent of the overall number of closed transactions were buyer-side transactions, highlighting the significant role of Latinx agents to homebuyers.
Brands with the greatest number honorees included Anywhere Brands, RE/MAX, and Keller Williams. Collectively, agents across all award categories closed 37,895 transactions with $16.2 billion in sales volume.
A shortage of homes for sale continues to drive prices upward and transactions downward, the association stated. The NAHREP 2023 State of Hispanic Homeownership Report released in March suggested Latinx homeownership continues to increase because of Latinx homebuyers’ willingness to migrate to markets with jobs and more affordable homes. Likewise, the Top 250 report showed a higher percentage of honorees being from smaller markets in the Midwest and Southern regions of the country.
“NAHREP’s Top 250 holds a special place in my heart,” 2024 NAHREP President Nora Aguirre said in a release. “It recognizes the resilience that we, as Latinos, embody in serving our community, empowering and educating our clients through the challenging journey of finding their lifelong homes. I applaud all the agents dedicated to this mission and our partners who steadfastly support their success.”
“At Freddie Mac, we are deeply committed to expanding sustainable homeownership opportunities for all,” Danny Gardner, NAHREP senior vice president of the client and community engagement single-family division, said. “We are honored to congratulate the exceptional real estate professionals recognized as NAHREP’s Top 250. These leaders exemplify the powerful impact of culturally competent, community-focused lending in making homeownership a reality for more Hispanic families.”
