In a blog posting on its website, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) announced that it would take applications for membership to its three advisory groups – the Consumer Advisory Board, the Community Bank Advisory Council, and the Credit Union Advisory Council.
Board seats become available in the fall, with 10 positions open on the Consumer Advisory Board, seven on the Community Bank Advisory Council and eight on the Credit Union Advisory Council.
“These groups allow us to hear directly from small financial institutions,” the bureau wrote in the blog post. “They also provide us with information about emerging trends and practices in the consumer financial products and services industries.”
