Richard Horn Legal PLLC, the law office of the former CFPB senior official who led the TRID rule and the design of the TRID disclosures, announced that it has transitioned to Garris Horn PLLC, with industry veteran Troy Garris joining Richard Horn in the practice.
Together, Horn and Garris will continue to offer the same exceptional and cost-efficient service, but with even more capabilities and services, the company said.
Garris spent 18 years representing the industry in federal and state defense work, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters.
“I am excited to offer clients transactional, litigation, and defense capabilities, and even more compliance resources, including in the areas of loan originator compensation, employment wage and hour laws, and RESPA, in a modern firm focused on streamlined, client service,” Horn said. “We’ll focus on our client’s needs only, doing the work efficiently and offering alternative and flat fee billing arrangements,” Horn added.
Horn also said he would continue to offer the same practice areas he did before, covering most areas of consumer finance regulation, including TRID, RESPA, GLBA, ECOA, UDAAP (consumer testing and design), and state usury, licensing, and high-cost loan laws.
Garris Horn PLLC will be a “virtual” law firm, embracing technology to serve clients better and more efficiently. “We aim to be the financial services law firm of the 21st century – Effective. Efficient. Evolved,” Horn said.
