The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is asking that a lawsuit accusing the agency of violating Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act by failing to collect and disclose data on lending to women-owned, minority-owned and small businesses be dismissed.
The California Reinvestment Coalition (CRC) and three other plaintiffs contend that without the lending data, consumer groups cannot help to obtain lending for those denied equal access to capital.
