A plan to do away with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s single-director structure is gaining new momentum. RESPRO, the National Association of Realtors and the American Bankers Association are among nearly 30 industry trade associations that have banded together to support a bill that would transition the bureau’s structure to a five-person, bipartisan commission.
