The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has agreed not to bring supervisory or enforcement actions against Bank of America for a new small-dollar credit product.
The product will give checking account customers an affordable banking solution for short term liquidity needs, provide a streamlined digital only small-dollar credit product and expand consumer access to credit, according to the bank’s no-action letter request.
