A Chicago-based mortgage lender has agreed to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act and the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act.
The lender admitted serious and widespread violations of not adhering to the Department of Housing and Urban Developmentās program rules, including underwriters who accepted commissions and gifts.
