The Department of Justice (DOJ) has approved a series of settlements resolving redlining allegations that several California-based mortgage loan modification service providers targeted Hispanic homeowners for predatory mortgage loan modification services and interfered with their ability to keep their homes.
The lawsuit arose from complaints filed with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by two of the companies’ former clients.
