The overall performance of first-lien mortgages during the first quarter of 2019 improved slightly from a year earlier, and foreclosures are significantly on the decline, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s (OCC) quarterly report on mortgages.
Meanwhile, home forfeiture actions during the quarter – completed foreclosure sales, short sales and deed-in-lieu of foreclosure actions – were also way down.
