Treliant Risk Advisors announces that Cassandra “Cassi” M. Chandler has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor, bringing experience as a risk executive at a major bank and as a financial crimes enforcement leader at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She will contribute to firm-wide strategy and client engagements, with a particular focus on serving Treliant’s growing client base in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
“Cassi has led a distinguished career in both banking and government, addressing some of the most pressing security and compliance issues in the industry today,” said Treliant CEO Andrew L. Sandler. “With security and compliance being top of mind in an environment of mounting risk, our clients will benefit enormously from her innovation, strategic thinking, and deep experience.”
Chandler is an innovator, strategist, attorney, and leader within the U.S. government and the financial services industry. As a Senior Vice President for Business Operations at Bank of America, she was responsible for building an integrated framework for assessing the risks and operational effectiveness of enterprise coverage areas. She served as the bank’s Senior Global Investigative Services Executive, developing a prevention-focused global fraud program, and she led the bank’s compliance relationship with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Previously, she spent 23 years at the FBI, directing activities related to crime, terrorism, and foreign intelligence. She is also performing an independent monitor role for a city government agency.
“This is an industry facing pressure from so many directions – new risks of financial crime, heightened regulatory scrutiny, and technological disruption,” Chandler said. “I look forward to joining Treliant’s team in working to help clients overcome the obstacles they face and achieve the goals they set.”
